2026 Mini Internships

We’re excited to begin offering one day mini internships on the farm this summer! These internships are intended for folks who are at the beginning their shepherding journey and interested in gaining some first hand experience with animals while discussing the ins and outs of grassfed flock (with a focus on remote grazing).

Come spend a day on the farm with shepherd Meg and learn about what it’s like to manage a market scale meat flock. The focus of each day will be different depending on the time of year. Potential projects for the day include ear tagging lambs, moving grazing pastures, assisting with shearing, health checking the flock, or scraping and salting hides.

This will be a work day! There will time to fawn over peaceful sheep grazing in the field, but most of the day will be spent shoveling, hauling, and/or wrangling while we discuss flock management, grazing systems, marketing, flock health, breeding programs, genetics, hay quality, lambing, breeding, gestation, and more. Folks who are interested in a less exerting day are welcome to come and help skirt fleeces on shearing day.

Mini internships are intended for 1-2 people each day. The only requirement is an interest in shepherding, and willingness to work. Sign up yourself, or bring a friend!
